HOPE, Back to Nature Collection Launching - June 2020

On June 7th, 2020, Paloma Sanchez, The Art of Jewelry proudly launched its newest collection – HOPE, inviting people to return to nature after the most challenging period since the outbreak of COVID-19 in late January. The event also featured an extraordinary Kung Fu performance by Jackie Chan’s renowned LongYun Kung Fu Troupe, creating a sensation on the sunny afternoon at the beautiful Nali Patio in Sanlitun.

Offering a vibrant green hue, the new collection celebrates nature, wonder, and glamour through its extraordinary gemstones, distinctive shapes, and vibrant designs. “The year 2020 has brought us significant challenges, and everyone has experienced a long period of isolation at home. China has done a great job in fighting the virus, bringing new hope to the world. Beijing is recovering too, and everyone is eager to return to nature and embrace new hope. That’s why I created this new collection – HOPE. The green color represents nature and hope, and I hope everyone can find inspiration in our collection,” said Paloma Sanchez, the creative director of the brand.

The stunning Kungfu performance in the yard of Nali Patio, which incorporated martial arts and dance forms, was a highlight of the event, eliciting great applause. In Chinese culture, Kungfu goes beyond mere martial arts; it literally means to pursue mastery, with the objective of perfecting one's personal being to the utmost degree. Led by the world-famous martial artist Jackie Chan, LongYun has performed in many countries, representing Chinese culture and philosophy, and has gained a strong reputation worldwide.

The outbreak of COVID-19 has worsened the situation for LongYun, leaving them with no opportunity to perform anywhere. “That’s why I wanted to give them support and hope,” expressed Paloma Sanchez. “I have known LongYun for a long time, as they represent the highest level of Chinese martial arts, blending both tradition and innovation. I am often amazed by them. I have always loved Chinese culture, as it continuously inspires my designs. We also collaborate with renowned Chinese artisans to create one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces together.”
