Paloma Sanchez, The Art Jewelry 15th-Anniversary Celebrations in Beijing - December 2023
The esteemed art jewelry brand, Paloma Sanchez, The Art of Jewelry was established in December 2008. Following the opening of the first gallery in Beijing, the brand settled in Paris and Dubai. The founder and CEO, Ms Paloma Sanchez, is a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) gemologist, jewelry designer and a worldwide highly recognized gemstone investment adviser with more than 30 year of experience in gemology and jewelry industry. She dedicates herself to finding one-of-a-kind, high-quality gemstones directly from mines all over the world, and designs the jewelry based on the characteristics of each gemstone, either preserving the natural shape of the rough stone or transforming it into a final masterpiece through cutting, carving, polishing, setting, and embellishing.
Over the past fifteen years, the brand has committed to providing customers with tailored service, irreproducible art, and consistent luxury experience. In December 2023, we hosted three exclusive 15th-anniversary celebrations at the Eclat Hotel in Beijing and the brand’s Penthouse Studio. These special occasions were graced by the presence of ambassadors and diplomats, multinational corporate executives, private collectors, and artists.
Amy Grubb, a renowned dancer from the British Royal Ballet, adorned herself with the brand’s iconic Atlantis necklace, holding two luminous gemstones that represent unearthed diamonds as she mingled with guests. She seamlessly integrated these gemstones into her dance, telling stories of beauty and wonder that transcend time and space. In the dim light, the gems in her hands cast a dreamlike glow, leading everyone into a splendid world of gemstones.
On December 17th, the brand released a 15th-anniversary documentary featuring Ms Paloma Sanchez’s global adventures as a gem hunter. She travels to some of the most remote areas of the globe, from the red sands of Madagascar to the green mountains of the Colombian Sierra, through the wet Sri Lankan jungle to the dry deserts in Arizona, on the quest to find those hidden treasures nature holds for us.
In Ethiopia, dressed in boots and jeans with her hair wrapped in a scarf, she followed local miners up steep cliffs into mines, extracting ore with hand-made tools, picks, hammers, and shovels. In Sri Lanka's sapphire mines, as miners brought out baskets of ore, Ms Paloma meticulously selected each gem under dim oil lamp light. Inspired by the miners' faith-filled eyes, she also gained a deeper appreciation for the preciousness of these stones.
At the same time, the brand's 15th-anniversary limited edition commemorative album was officially released. This book features the latest 5 of 15 years of an exciting adventure, and captures the essence of our brand's evolution, showcasing our continuous dedication to the pursuit of rare gemstones, unique design, and artistic craftsmanship that define our signature style, underscoring our commitment to sustainability and respect for the natural world. Within its pages, you'll find stories of how natural landscapes, flora, and fauna have influenced our designs, making the book more than a retrospective but also a celebration of our ongoing dialogue with Mother Earth.
Looking to the future, Ms Paloma will continue her journey as a gem hunter, exploring the world for unique gemstones and bringing one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted art creations to her customers. As it embarks on another year, Paloma Sanchez, The Art of Jewelry, is set to begin a new chapter.
